Fashionable Homeless A recent fashion show in Brazil brought out all the strange concept ideas in fashion. Inspiration was taken from every sight the designer encounters – nature, wildlife, flora and homeless people.
Amapo, which seems to be a Brazilian design house, created a fall/winter line which featured enormous sleeves. The collection’s theme was ““luxurious versions of homeless lonely people.” I guess with the world financial crisis fashion designers are trying to get the affluent in touch with the future possible poor version of their customers – and recognizing that if you are going to be homeless you might need something you can sleep in. I guess big sleeves are the answer because you can draw your arms up inside and stay warm. Plus all that extra air in the big sleeves helps to build a buffer trapping the scent of your stale body odor now that you are unable to bath everyday as a homeless person.
